This instant download PDF sewing pattern provides instructions for sewing your own sweet soft baby chick plushies!
Chick materials kits can be found here: https://weethingsfiberarts.etsy.com/listing/1752696005
This original Wee Things pattern is designed for use with knit fabrics--those with side-to-side stretch--and small pieces of felt. We recommend upcycled wool or cashmere sweaters that have been lightly felted in the wash, or you can use a new-sourced soft cotton velour or fleece fabric. The pattern includes variations for single-layer or lined wings and also two sizes. These chick stuffed animals will be a toy that your children will enjoy for years to come!
This is a beginner-friendly sewing project, and some parts can be sewn on the sewing machine quite quickly, or it can all be lovingly stitched by hand. The size of the finished chick toy will vary depending upon how much stretch your fabric has. We've included two pattern sizes, so you can easily make "mini" chick stuffies to squeeze into an Easter egg, or "life-size" chick plush toys. It also scales well and can easily be increased further!
