Traditionally used to securely quilt small fabric patches onto thread-bare clothing, sashiko translates to “little stabs” and consists of simple running stitches in beautiful geometric patterns. This is a great technique for anyone new to handwork! We will be using specialty sashiko cotton thread and needles to decorate a swatch of linen, and we'll then stuff and mount the fabric inside a sturdy wooden base.
