First dolls are often treasured friends for many years as a child grows. In this workshop, we'll sew a simple, blanket-style Waldorf baby doll that even the smallest companion can befriend! These dolls have knotted hats and hands, just right for teething, and simple embroidered faces. They are crafted entirely from natural materials, including cotton knit skin fabric, cotton velour stretch bodies and hats, and wool batting for stuffing. All participants will receive a complete kit of customizable materials; all necessary patterns and tools will also be provided.

This workshop is a wonderful introduction to the basics of Waldorf doll making, even for very beginner adult crafters. I will have many of the materials prepared in advance, so that we can focus our time on forming and embroidering the head.
